A Hidden Camera During DUI Checkpoint Exposes the Vileness of the American Police State

“He’s perfectly innocent, he knows his rights, he knows what the Constitution says.” mutters the power tripping jackboot cop as he tears apart this innocent man’s vehicle for no other reason than to flex his “authority.” “It wasn’t a very good alert….” brags the other jackboot about the drug dog “giving them permission” to search this man’s vehicle. He was likely about to confess to just how arbitrary their decision was in violating this innocent person’s rights, when he spots the camera. “Hey Jim……” and they realize they’ve been bamboozled. Watching this video is incredibly grounding, we can see just Read more [...]

3D Printed Cast Speeds Bone Recovery Using Ultrasound

A new prototype brings together 3D printing, room to breathe and ultrasound pulses to create a cast that is not only comfortable and stylish to wear but is expected to speed healing relative to existing options. In a move that is less The Singing Bone or Singing Bones than Singing to the Bones designer Deniz Karasahin has adopted the idea of using Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound, (LIPUS) to speed bone regrowth. Pulses of sound waves too high frequency to hear have been shown to increase the incorporation of calcium ions in cultures of cartilage and bone cells, as well as increasing the expression of genes known to assist in healing. However, despite success in vitro and promising results from clinical studies LIPUS has not Read more [...]

Fukushima Starts Dumping Groundwater into Ocean Waters in May

Tokyo Electric Power Co's dumping of groundwater from the Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear power plant, already approved by local fishermen on Tuesday, will begin in May, Japan's industry minister said on Sunday. Kyodo News said Toshimitsu Motegi, Economy, Trade and Industry Minister, assured fishermen in a meeting the release of the groundwater will not start until the season for catching young sand lance ends by end of April. The Fukushima fisheries federation on Tuesday approved a proposal by Tepco to create a bypass flowing towards the devastated plant and then funnel it to the sea way before it reaches the reactor buildings, according to Reuters. Our Year of No Sugar: One Family’s Grand Adventure

By Eve O. Schaub, Special to Everyday Health Once upon a time, I was healthy; at least I thought I was. Sure, I lacked enough energy to get me through the day, but with all the commercials on TV touting energy drinks for America’s tired masses, I always assumed I wasn’t the only one suffering. And sure, everyone in my family dreaded the coming cold and flu season, but again, I thought come January everyone develops some degree of germophobia. At least, that’s what I thought until I heard some disturbing new information about the effects of sugar. According to several experts, sugar is the thing that is making so many Americans fat and sick. The more I thought about it the more this made sense to me Read more [...]
